Today, International Yoga Teachers Ana Forrest and Jose Calarco are at the forefront of the Yoga world, guiding its future and evolution. Together, Ana and Jose teach people how to use the tools of Forrest Yoga to move out numbness and connect to the rich spectrum of feeling and purpose.
March 22-24, 2024 Ana and Jose will bring their unique teachings of Forrest Yoga and Ceremony to Merimbula as a part of their 2024 Australian Tour. This is a rare opportunity that we are honoured to share with you and is likely to be a phenomenal experience on many levels for all students.
Ana & Jose will be offering their ‘Walk In Beauty’ Series of Yoga Workshops for us. These workshops will suit intermediate to advanced students with down-levels also provided for beginners.
To Walk in Beauty means to walk in Harmony with all things; thinking and acting in a Beauty Way, shifts and improves our perception of life.
This Series includes three robust Asana classes, taking us on a healing journey, getting us into our bodies & working deeply with the hips, back, pelvis & neck. Ana & Jose’s workshops are far more than just your average yoga classes, they are Sacred Ceremonies reconnecting Yogis to Spirit & restoring enthusiasm for Life. Classes include extensive pranayama work, musical Brahmari through the Chakras, helping us free our mind from nemesis thinking patterns; Musical Sun Salutations, along with an invigorating back bend class and ample inversion work - all designed to help move the stagnant debris that inhibits connection to our vital life-force.
Forrest Yoga Workshop Series provide intelligent sequencing & continuity. Each series contains the Forrest Yoga Magic, Vision Questing on the mat & is designed to move the Body, still the Mind, express the Emotions & nurture the Spirit.

Creatrix of forrest yoga
Ana Forrest is an inspiration and has been changing people’s lives for over 45 years. She is internationally recognized as a pioneer in yoga and emotional healing. ANA is the Creatrix of Forrest Yoga, a mystic, visionary, philanthropist, author and Medicine Woman. Ana crafted Forrest Yoga while working through healing from her own life’s traumas – abuse and addictions; the helplessness around the addictions, and the ongoing suffering from chronic injuries & illnesses. The process of healing herself inspired her to teach others about what really works to heal themselves physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.
Jose Calarco
Shaman & Teacher
Jose Calarco joined forces with Ana in 2014 and brings a long history of shamanism and healing into Forrest Yoga events. Jose’s experience as a musician, medicine man & Director of Descendance Aboriginal dance theatre spans more than 30 years. Jose has incorporated ceremony, music, dance, ancient healing techniques, veganism and First Nation Philosophies into Forrest Yoga, helping students move from the ordinary to the extraordinary.
